Players costing over $6,667

John Collins (vs MEM – $8,800): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46 fantasy points against New Orleans. Collins has picked up his game again and looking to be in early season form. The bad news is he’s got the Grizzlies, who can turn things into a slog. This will be a battle of who blinks first and the Hawks will probably blink more. If that makes any sense. The ceiling is high but I don’t love the matchup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Blake Griffin (at MIA – $8,100): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.4 fantasy points against Brooklyn. He’s another matchup that I don’t love and Griffin has been good, but not great lately. The Pistons should have a bounce back performance and Griffin also has a high ceiling. But there are red flags heading into this game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Bobby Portis (vs ORL – $6,900): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.1 fantasy points against Sacramento. The up-and-down streak for Portis is officially over and we’re just recognizing him as a great DFS player right now. The Magic become an easier matchup for Gordon out of the lineup. But really I just like the way Portis is playing right now and with the Wizards needing what they can get out of their frontcourt, he’ll continue to get it done. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
