Round 5: No selection

Pick is headed to Oakland as a result of the Ryan Switzer trade.

Round 6: Dennis Daley

A franchise like the Steelers should always be taking big swings this late in the draft. Dennis Daley is a perfect example of that. If he pays off, he could turn into an excellent starter at tackle. If he can’t improve his technique, he might end up in the CFL.

He’s a massive individual who can maul people in the run game when his pad level is right. Unfortunately, he lets opponents get underneath him on far too many occasions.

His biggest struggles are in the passing game though. He doesn’t look comfortable setting himself in space. On the other hand, he played his best football against elite pass rushers at South Carolina. Daley is a gamble, but he’s well worth the risk in round 6.

Round 6: D’Cota Dixon

This is a pick we’re keeping the same since our original Steelers mock. Dixon has the requisite speed to play in the NFL right away. He isn’t ready to contribute meaningful snaps at safety yet, but he’ll give Pittsburgh a quality special teams player from day one.

Next. Bell could make massive money with the Jets. dark

Round 7: Nick Fitzgerald

This is another pick that stays the same from our last draft. Fitzgerald just screams Tomlin type guy. We’re not sure whether he’ll start out at quarterback or tight end, but his ability to produce yards on the ground make him an intriguing guy to work with.
