2. player. 42. . Edge. Ohio State. Nick Bosa

The San Francisco 49ers are in desperate need at the edge rusher position heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, and luckily for them, there are a bunch of talented options available. With the No. 2 overall pick, if the 49ers keep the selection, look for them to select Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa.

Bosa proved himself to be the class of this draft early on, and has been mocked as the No. 1 or No. 2 pick for months now. While his career with the Buckeyes ended early due to injury, he is certainly healthy heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, and should hear his name called within the first three picks.

The 49ers have invested in their head coach and general manager on five-year deals, and they are entering year three. Last offseason, they spent big money on quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who led the team to five straight victories to close out the 2017 season, but he ended up blowing up his knee early in the 2018 NFL season.

Still, this is a roster that has a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball, and Jimmy G should be ready to go for the start of the season. The offense also gets Jerick McKinnon back at running back for 2019, so the focus should be on the defensive side of the ball, especially with such an early pick in April.
