Players costing $6,250 or under

Dwight Powell (at DEN – $6,100): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.75 fantasy points against San Antonio. As always, someone has to get these numbers in the Dallas frontcourt. And Powell has certainly been that guy as of late. The Nuggets are a tough matchup but it should also lead to plenty of minutes for Powell. And it’s just a matter of circumstances. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs LAL – $5,900): Needs 28.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.25 fantasy points against Cleveland. Gasol hasn’t exactly produced as of late but there is reason to believe he’ll bounce back in this game. The Lakers are a great matchup and with Ibaka out, the thought would be that Gasol gets more playing time. It’s not guaranteed with him, but it’s looking good. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Taj Gibson (at UTA – $4,700): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.5 fantasy points against Denver. If Towns doesn’t end up playing, Gibson should once again see big minutes. It’s a tough frontcourt matchup, which always helps Gibson’s cause. As long as he starts, you can take him with confidence. If he doesn’t start, the minutes aren’t quite guaranteed. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
