Kurt Angle: 5 dream opponents for farewell match at WrestleMania 35
By Matt Black
3. New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Kazuchika Okada
Scurll won’t be the only name on this list who will be in New York that weekend. The man known as the Rainmaker is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most decorated pro wrestlers in the history of New Japan. A four-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada has arguably done absolutely all there is to do in NJPW.
While most would think the Rainmaker will eventually find his way to WWE after Angle retires, one shouldn’t be surprised if he signs with the upstart All Elite Wrestling to bring his talents stateside on a more regular basis.
This would have most likely been the hardest-hitting matchup on this list and one would think the strong style that Okada puts on display would have matched very well with Angle. Years ago, these two could’ve easily been putting on 60-minute classics inside the Tokyo Dome. Speaking of classics in the Tokyo Dome: that brings us to our next dream matchup.
