5. NXT’s Matt Riddle

Last, but certainly not least, the King of Bros himself, Matt Riddle. This is a matchup that could actually happen due to Riddle being under contract with WWE, even though it’s a massive long shot. It could, though, be one of the most special.

Riddle is a former UFC fighter turned professional wrestler. Angle, at points in the last decade, had wanted to have some MMA fights while he was away from WWE. Although nothing really came from it, he most certainly had trained in it.

The King of Bros has even gone on record over how big a fan he was of Angle when he was growing up, so to have a match like this would probably not only be a dream match for the fans but for him as well. Riddle has stated before that he wanted to be the one to retire Brock Lesnar. Would WWE actually allow him to retire Angle instead? Very doubtful, but hey: never say never in pro wrestling.
