DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 16, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Russell Westbrook (vs GS – $10,800): Needs 52.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 68 fantasy points against Indiana. It’s Russell Westbrook, at home, against the Warriors. Yeah, I’m betting on Russell Westbrook. It’s a high salary but you typically know what you’re getting out of Westbrook in this matchup. He’s averaging 1.67 FPPM in his last five games against the Warriors. He always brings it in this matchup and his numbers are never an issue. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Damian Lillard (at SA – $8,800): Needs 42.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.5 fantasy points against New Orleans. Both teams are on a back-to-back but the Spurs do have the advantage of still being at home and being able to rest as they faced the Knicks. But Lillard has been very good against the Spurs this season, averaging 52.2 fantasy points in three games against them. I’m not in love with the circumstances but I am in love with Lillard’s game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Elfrid Payton (vs PHO – $6,900): Needs fantasy points. LAST GAME – 59.5 fantasy points against Portland. If Jrue Holiday still out of the lineup? Yes. Then you can take Payton with confidence. He’s been on a roll and the best option on the perimeter for the Pelicans. And it’s the Suns. The offense should be very high in this game and Payton is one of the better offensive options on the Suns. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
