High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Derrick Favors (vs BKN – $5,600): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.25 fantasy points against Minnesota. As long as Favors gets over 25 minutes, you can expect him to have a big outing. He’s a boom or bust kind of guy but when he gets over 25 minutes, he’s definitely a guy who will boom. The Nets are a good matchup with their weak frontcourt. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Domantas Sabonis (at DEN – $5,400): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.75 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. Longtime readers will know my thoughts on the frontcourt duo of Sabonis and Thaddeus Young. Sabonis has the higher ceiling but the minutes aren’t always there. Meanwhile, Young is the more reliable option. Sabonis is the cheaper option, which certainly helps. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jerami Grant (vs GS – $4,700): Needs 22.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14 fantasy points against Indiana. Grant has been inconsistent in recent contests but the minutes and opportunities are still there for him. He had 37.25 fantasy points against the Warriors way back in November and this is a matchup he can shine against due to his versatility. His lesser salary certainly helps given the minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
