High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Terrence Ross (vs ATL – $5,600): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.5 fantasy points against Cleveland. You sort of know what you’re getting out of Ross. He’s good for two or three games, he bottoms out, and then he bounces back. He’s only been good for one game since bottoming out, so he should be good once again in this one. And it’s against the Hawks, where everyone is good. He’s averaging 33.6 fantasy points in two games against the Hawks this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Eric Gordon (vs MIN – $5,300): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.5 fantasy points against Phoenix. If James Harden is out of the lineup, you can take Gordon with confidence. He becomes the second option on the team and he’s a very good second option, especially with the way Houston runs their offense and especially against this matchup. His ceiling is still high if Harden plays, but he’s more reliable without Harden. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Joe Harris (at LAC – $4,900): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9.75 fantasy points against Utah. Harris’ performance against the Jazz is certainly concerning but he’s still a guy who gets the minutes and opportunities. If you want someone who is perhaps more reliable, you can go with Landry Shamet in this same game. But I’m going to trust Harris to bounce back because he historically plays well against the Clippers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
