High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Thaddeus Young (at POR – $6,300): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.5 fantasy points against Denver. You typically know what you’re getting from Young. Longtime readers will know that I find him to be a reliable option who has flashed a high ceiling. Sabonis has a higher ceiling on most nights, but Young is the more reliable of the two. You can always pair the two and feel confident about the production you’re going to get out of your power forward position. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marcus Morris (vs DEN – $5,600): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.2 fantasy points against Atlanta. Morris can be inconsistent but the minutes and opportunities are typically there for him. On top of that, he’s at home. He usually plays very well at home. The Celtics will need his scoring and rebounding in this game and he’s a playoff ready guy who will battle against a tough Nuggets team. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Maxi Kleber (vs NO – $5,200): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.9 fantasy points against Cleveland. Kleber has stepped up in the Dallas frontcourt to take some pressure off of Powell. The minutes are there and he’s playing well, even though his salary has jumped. Still, it’s the Pelicans. There should be plenty of DFS point to go around in this game. And I like the way Kleber is playing right now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
