7. Florida State

The ACC has drawn a ton of attention for its three national title contenders (Duke, Virginia, and North Carolina), but the league secretly has a fourth in Florida State. The Seminoles made it all the way to the Elite Eight last season before falling to Michigan and bring back most of the roster that made that deep run.

Leonard Hamilton’s bunch announced their presence in the ACC Tournament with a clutch upset of Virginia, who had only lost twice to Duke prior to that game. The Seminoles also gave Duke everything they could handle for most of the ACC final only to get outdone late in that game.

Florida State does have to travel up to Hartford to take on Vermont and potentially Marquette or Murray State in the first weekend, but that shouldn’t be a problem for a veteran team like the Seminoles. Pencil them into your Sweet 16 with confidence.
