5. AAC

Teams: 4, Houston (3), Cincinnati (7), UCF (9), Temple (11)

Average seed: 7.5

After getting in three teams to the 2018 NCAA Tournament, the AAC did one better in 2019 getting in four teams total. You could even argue that Cincinnati was one of the biggest mis-seedings of the entire field.

With Houston being one of the hottest teams in the country and Cincinnati coming in off of a big championship win, the AAC is a non-Power Five conference that could have multiple teams make runs deep into the tournament. And I haven’t even mentioned UCF, who has the tallest player in the NCAA Tournament in Tacko Fall, and will present some unique challenges to VCU and potentially even No. 1 overall seed Duke shall they advance.

Houston is a team that is without a question able to make a run to the Elite Eight or Final Four due to the play of Corey Davis and Armoni Brooks, but would have to get through some pretty stiff competition in Iowa State and Kentucky (barring no upsets) in order to do so.
