2. Dwayne Haskins

There are too many rumblings emanating from Arizona that claim Rosen isn’t Kingsbury’s ideal quarterback to ignore. If that evaluation is true, it means the Cardinals have to find their signal caller of the future in this year’s draft.

There’s no better way for a team to accomplish that goal than by using the No. 1 overall selection to fill the need. It’s possible the Cardinals could fall in love with Haskins. He didn’t play a ton of college football for Ohio State, but his skill set is a great fit at the next level.

Haskins isn’t the most athletic guy in this draft class, but he can make all the throws required at the next level. He might not be ready to play Week 1, but he showed a real aptitude to pick things up quickly during his collegiate career. It’s very possible he could be ready to take the reins for an NFL offense sooner, rather than later.

Guys with the level of arm talent that Haskins possesses don’t last too long in the draft. Most mocks have Haskins going No. 6 to the Giants, but there’s still time for him to tempt the Cardinals into falling in love with him. Quarterbacks of Haskins’ caliber are always a threat to go No. 1.
