1. Nick Bosa

Oftentimes in the draft, the best picks are the most obvious ones. Bosa going to the 49ers at No. 2 certainly fits that definition. He’s the best rush end in this class and that happens to be San Francisco’s biggest need.

His arrival in the Bay area would likely signal the end of Solomon Thomas’ time as a starter. That’s a regrettable outcome for the franchise, but he’s had enough time to blossom. Bosa would give them a defensive end who could command double teams right away.

There are some injury concerns stemming from his inability to stay healthy at Ohio State, but the productivity of his brother for the Chargers will work in his favor there. If Bosa can stay healthy, it’s really hard to envision a scenario where he doesn’t become an above average starter at the very least.

Many NFL experts believe Bosa is the best player in this draft, but the Cardinals’ interest in drafting a quarterback with the No. 1 pick should make him available for the 49ers. Don’t be remotely surprised if San Francisco makes the obvious pick and brings in Bosa.
