3. Tennessee Titans

The Titans have consistently lacked offensive weapons and offensive imagination in recent years , which explains some of Marcus Mariota’s struggles. They did pony up to sign wide receiver Adam Humphries in free agency, but there’s still room to add with Corey Davis as the proverbial No. 1 wide receiver and inconsistency among the incumbent options.

The Titans are not a legit Super Bowl contender, so that may automatically diminish them for Nelson as he considers teams to take visits with, let alone sign on the dotted line with. That said, if opportunity is a bigger priority it’s there in Tennessee and Nelson showed he can succeed with a quarterback a notch or two below elite late last season. He’s also the kind of reliable veteran target Mariota can certainly use.

Tennessee has just over $23 million in cap space right now, so they have ample room to add Nelson on a one-year deal. If they want him, and more importantly he wants them, Nelson could very be Nashville-bound before the week is out.
