1. Zion Williamson, Basketball Player, Duke

Between his physical attributes and the incredibly high skill level Zion Williamson has demonstrated this season, it’s safe to say he’s a potentially transcendent draft prospect. And yet, somehow, he’s been more than the sum of his parts as a college player. He isn’t just a one-man highlight machine who is putting up some of the most absurd statistics college basketball has ever seen — he’s been converting his basketball tools into clutch plays and epic performances when his team needs them most.

What Zion becomes will depend a lot on who drafts him (and how much his outside shooting develops), especially since his size and athleticism mean he could pretty much play any position from off-guard to center. But, barring an unfortunate injury or a stunning decision to return to Duke, there’s no way he isn’t the first player selected in the 2019 NBA Draft.
