High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Thaddeus Young (at LAC – $6,300): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24 fantasy points against Portland. As with any member of the Pacers, you typically know what you’re getting from the Young. Longtime readers will know that Young is the more reliable option but Sabonis has the higher ceiling. Young just gets more guaranteed minutes while Sabonis has to do more with less. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (vs BKN – $6,200): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.8 fantasy points against Chicago. MB3 looks to be back and the minutes should only keep growing as he gets more comfortable. The Nets are a great matchup as they don’t have much going on in their frontcourt. MB3 was playing great prior to the break and as the minutes continue to go up, his production should follow suit. I love him on Tuesday. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Harry Giles III (vs BKN – $5,300): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.7 fantasy points against Chicago. And if you don’t want to spend on MB3, HG3 has been fantastic as a replacement. His minutes are also there as the Kings are going young to let these guys get some more experience down the stretch with their playoff hopes all but dashed. He’s good for short bursts and he’s at a great salary for what he brings to the table on most nights. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
