Iowa. Noah Fant. 12. player. 49. . Tight End

The Green Bay Packers have done a nice job bolstering their defense so far in free agency, as they look to turn the page from the Mike McCarthy era. McCarthy did lead the team to a Super Bowl win during his time as head coach, but his relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers got icy towards the end, and he was obviously the choice of who to move on from.

With the defense getting better this offseason, Green Bay is in position to add talent to the offensive side of the ball in the first round in April, where they have two first round picks. At pick No. 12, they should look to bring in a tight end, giving Rodgers a security blanket in the passing game, and Noah Fant from Iowa could be the second Hawkeyes tight end off the board.

Fant is an incredibly  talented pass-catching tight end, and Rodgers is always at his best when he has that kind of player playing the position. In order for this team to win next season, they need to make sure they have a happy Rodgers under center, so investing an early pick on a weapon for him would have to make him smile.

New head coach Matt LaFleur has a lot of work to do to get this team back to the top of the NFC North, which should be a loaded division in 2019. He has started to stockpile pieces that will make the team better next season for sure, and a good 2019 NFL Draft could be the final piece to the puzzle.
