The Miami Dolphins have been active in free agency, and making trades this offseason, though it has been more about subtraction, than addition. Miami finally made a decision regarding quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who they shipped to the Tennessee Titans, and replaced him with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Maybe Fitz Magic can resurface in South Beach, but the real question is whether or not the Dolphins are tanking this upcoming season. They have a new head coach in Brian Flores, who comes from a winning culture in New England, so it would be very hard for him to sit back and lose games in order to get a high pick next April.

Next April, Miami would likely have their sights set on a new signal-caller, as the 2020 NFL Draft has more first round arms than 2019. With their first round pick this April, they should look to bring in some talent along the offensive line, because whoever they have under center next season, they need better talent in front of them.

Miami may not be trying to win next season, but you have to think there is a plan in place based on the moves they have been making this offseason. Fitzpatrick likely has a handful of good games in him next season, but this is a Dolphins team playing for the future, where they will look to be relevant in a division that has been owned by the Patriots.
