D.K. Metcalf, Ole Miss Rebels

The Washington Redskins knew they needed a quarterback heading into the 2019 NFL season, especially after Alex Smith was already ruled out for next year. Smith saw his leg shatter against the Houston Texans last season, ending his 2018 season, a year in which he had the Redskins in first place in the NFC East.

With Smith sidelined for next season, and possibly the rest of his career, the team went out and traded for veteran Case Keenum with the Denver Broncos. Keenum will bring stability to the position, at least for next season, and he did lead the Minnesota Vikings to  the NFC title game only two years ago.

Looking at this roster, there is some work to be done in terms of weapons, as they lost Jamison Crowder to the New York Jets already this free agency season. With the No. 15 overall pick in April, they may want to  grab the best overall wide receiver in this draft class, and that man would be D.K. Metcalf from Ole Miss.

Metcalf is an incredible specimen when it comes to his build, and his athleticism, but he will need to prove he can stay healthy, and produce. I can already see Keenum throwing the ball up to him deep for the Redskins next season, who have solid  talent on both sides of the ball, and could be a sleeper in the NFC East once again.
