31. . Offensive Tackle. Florida. Jawaan Taylor. 17. player

The New York Giants pulled off one of the bigger trades we have seen in a long time this past week, sending elite wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns. For OBJ, the Giants got back the Browns 2019 first round pick, a 2019 third rounder, as well as safety Jabrill Peppers.

While the organization had stated numerous times they did not give Beckham the new contract to trade him, they did just that, and will now have to hope they hit on the draft picks they got for him. The No. 17 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft should be used on a player who can bolster their offensive line, and  Jawaan Taylor from Florida is an elite prospect.

Taylor is a guy the Giants could insert as a starting right tackle in year one, and based on  the moves they have made already this offseason when it comes to the offensive line, the unit as whole would be much better. That would give Eli Manning the time he needs to make throws downfield, which will now go to guys like Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate.

Saquon Barkley is one of the elite running backs in the NFL, and it would make sense that the team invest in the big bodies in front of him. Taylor is a nasty blocker, who many scouts are high on, and if the Giants are ever going to get better, offensive line has to be the priority moving forward.
