High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Evan Fournier (vs NO – $5,200): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.5 fantasy points against Atlanta. I’m torn between Ross and Fournier. Ross has played better more recently but he can also bottom out. Fournier hasn’t played as well but I think he has a higher ceiling overall. And he had 36 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Feb. 12, which gives me more confidence in him. He’s not the most reliable option but his ceiling is high and the matchup is great. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Frank Jackson (at ORL – $4,600): Needs 21.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.5 fantasy points against Dallas. Jackson has been a bit up-and-down in recent games. He was up against the Mavericks so if the trend holds, he’ll be down against the Magic. I expect him to break the trend. He’s at a good salary given his minutes and opportunities and I like the matchup against the Magic. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marcus Smart (at PHI – $4,600): Needs 21.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.5 fantasy points against Denver. Smart has settled into a nice spot and now he gets the Sixers on a back-to-back. Even though Smart hasn’t played well against the Sixers this season, the minutes are always there for him and he can do a bit of everything. He’s bound to show up in a big way in this matchup at some point and this is his last chance in the regular season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
