24. Scott Drew, Baylor

Baylor turned to Drew to revive their program after Dave Bliss turned the program into a cesspool, and that choice was a very wise one. The Bears have been postseason fixtures since 2008, reaching the NCAA Tournament eight times in 12 years, with the highs being a pair of Elite Eight appearances in 2010 and 2012.

23. Mark Turgeon, Maryland

Turgeon took a long route to get to Maryland, building Wichita State into a tournament team and taking Texas A&M to four straight March Madness appearances before taking over the Terrapins in 2011. The move to the Big Ten has helped out Turgeon, who failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in the Terrapins’ final three ACC years but has gone in four of six years since.

22. Dana Altman, Oregon

After turning Creighton into a mid-major powerhouse, Altman moved out west and has brought the Ducks to new heights. Oregon reached the Final Four in 2016 for the first time since 1939, but Altman’s best coaching job may have come this season when he reconstructed his roster after losing Bol Bol for the year in the non-conference schedule and winning his way into the field by capturing the Pac-12 Tournament crown.

21. Kevin Willard, Seton Hall

The Pirates are experiencing a renaissance under Willard, who was on the hot seat as recently as two years ago. Seton Hall has gone to four straight NCAA Tournaments under Willard and won a round last year before giving Kansas an incredible fight in the Round of 32.
