Buffalo Bulls – Wolf Blitzer
Politics are a polarizing topic for every American. Wolf Blitzer (Class of ’70) has been revered for his political reporting for news outlet CNN. Blitzer is respected in the industry for his knowledge of the military and received an award for his coverage of the Persian Gulf War. Blitzer has also reported on affairs in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
California Irvine Anteaters – Jon Lovitz
Jon Lovitz (Class of ’79) is a very funny man and he has made a career out it. The comedian had a very successful run on the improv and sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. Lovitz was able to turn that success into a career on the big screen. The actor has gone on to star in such films as A League of Their Own, Rat Race and The Wedding Singer. Outside of his movies and comedy routine, Lovitz was cast as the voice of the lead character in the Critic. The show only ran for 23 episodes.
Central Florida – Daniel Tosh
Standup comics are known to push the boundaries and many of them will do anything for a laugh. Daniel Tosh (1992-1996) has a reputation for being a dark, raunchy controversial comedian. Comedy Central has the comedian host one of their more popular shows with Tosh.0. The show looks at internet clips in which Tosh will then poke fun at the clips. His comedy style is intentionally offensive and dark, no matter how you feel about his style he is a very successful comedian.
Cincinnati Bearcats – Oscar Robertson
The NBA has had numerous stars. Oscar Robertson (attended 1957-1960) was one of the greatest players or all time. The Big O was the last player to average a triple-double over an entire season until Thunder star Russell Westbrook did it a few seasons ago. The former NBA star was wonderful in college in well. He has the third highest single-season scoring average of 33.9 points per game. While in college he was the NCAA leader in scoring for three years and set 14 NCAA records and 19 school records. The Big O is a legend.
