March Madness: Most famous alumni from every 2019 NCAA Tournament team

Kansas Jayhawks – Wilt Chamberlain
An NBA Hall of Famer gives the University of Kansas their most famous alumni. Wilt Chamberlain (attended 1956-1958) was one of the greatest NBA players of all time. The 7’1 big man holds a record that will never be broken, he is the only player in NBA history to score 100 points in a game. A record that was set in 1962. Some other records that the Kansas star set include being the only player to grab 2,000 rebounds in a season and average over 50 points in one season.
Kansas State Wildcats – Eric Stonestreet
Stonestreet (Class of ’96) plays one of the lead roles, Cameron Tucker, on the ABC sitcom Modern Family. The Kansas born actor has won two Emmy awards for his role in the show. Kansas State fans can see the actor at many of their home sporting events as well as many professional events around the Kansas City area. Aside from his work on Modern Family, Stonestreet has also appeared on CSI and American Horror Story among others.
Kentucky Wildcats – Ashley Judd
This actress and feminist is very proud of her alma mater. Judd (Class of ’90) has starred in many movies in her younger days including Double Jeopardy and Kiss the Girls. Kiss the Girls grossed over 60 million and is the movie that made Judd famous. These days Judd can be seen on the sidelines of most Kentucky sporting events and speaking out against social injustices in the world.
Liberty Flames – Rashad Jennings
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Jennings (Class of ’09) out of Liberty University. Jennings is not going to end up in the NFL Hall of Fame, but he had a long career in the NFL. Never a featured running back, Jennings did accrue over 3,000 yards and 23 TDs over his nine-year NFL career. The running back started his career with the Jaguars, moved on to the Raiders for one season and then finished his career with the Giants. Jennings does have a degree from Liberty after beginning his career with Pittsburgh.
