High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs SA – $11,400): Needs 54.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 88.75 fantasy points against Memphis. It’s James Harden and you can rarely go wrong with James Harden because he can break the system. But his high salary means he needs to break the system and the Spurs have really turned things around as of late. And the Rockets reportedly want to manage his minutes after playing him 46 minutes against the Grizzlies. Still, it’s James Harden. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

D’Angelo Russell (at LAL – $8,300): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 77 fantasy points against Sacramento. But the guy I really love on Friday is Russell. He’s playing the best basketball of his career and the Lakers are a complete mess with no hope the rest of this season. You don’t think Russell wants to rub it in a little bit? He does. Of course he does. And he will. This is going to be the Russell show and I am here for it on Friday. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Khris Middleton (vs MIA – $7,500): Needs 34.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49 fantasy points against Cleveland. Middleton has continued to deliver with Giannis out of the lineup. As is the case when Giannis doesn’t play, Middleton’s ceiling is higher but he’s slightly less reliable just because there’s more attention on him. The Heat can be a tough matchup but the Bucks have the offense to give them plenty of trouble. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
