High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (at HOU – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.5 fantasy points against Miami. I continue to love Gay’s game in San Antonio because Gay just continues to deliver. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games and he had 31 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 22. Gay always get the minutes and finds ways to contribute with his scoring and rebounding. He’ll do the same thing in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Terrence Ross (vs MEM – $5,200): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.75 fantasy points against New Orleans. Ross has been up-and-down and his minutes have gone down in recent games which is not exactly the best of signs. You can go with Jonathan Isaac as I’m torn between the two. Isaac has the better ceiling but Ross is slightly more reliable. One of them will deliver. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (vs BKN – $4,400): Needs 20.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50.25 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I think KCP remembered that he needs to get paid this offseason and has started to turn his game around as a result. The Lakers need some kind of offense and KCP can certainly supply that offense when he’s on his game. The matchup is good as the offense should be there for the Lakers to some extent. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
