Players costing $6,250 or under

Derrick Favors (at CHI – $5,700): Needs 27.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.75 fantasy points against Atlanta. Favores bounced back after a couple of rough outings against the Wizards and Knicks. Who has rough outings against the Wizards and the Knicks? Favors should be able to keep it going against the Bulls because the Bulls are not a good team and the Jazz should play angry after this loss to the Hawks. The points and rebounds should be there without a problem. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Dewayne Dedmon (vs PHI – $5,500): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.25 fantasy points against Utah. Dedmon has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games. The Sixers can be a tough matchup but Dedmon had 42.5 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 11 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. He’s playing great right now, the minutes are there for him, and he’s proven to have a high ceiling recently and against this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Thomas Bryant (vs MIA – $4,400): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36 fantasy points against Denver. If Bryant starts, assume the minutes will be there for him and trust him to play well. I don’t know if he’ll draw the start because I don’t know what a lot of these non-playoff teams are doing until moments before the game on most nights. But Bryant has proven that he can put up big numbers as long as he gets the minutes. And the minutes should be there if he starts. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceilin.
