High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (at ATL – $12,100): Needs 53.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 72.4 fantasy points against Boston. The most unstoppable player in the league certainly looked like it against the Celtics. You typically know what you’re getting out of Embiid at this point as he’s a scoring and rebounding machine. The only concern in this one is that the matchup is too good and the Sixers should be able to spread the wealth. But the Hawks are sneaky and Embiid is still Embiid with a great matchup in front of him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Andre Drummond (at POR – $11,000): Needs 48.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.3 fantasy points against Phoenix. Portland will be the toughest matchup the Pistons have faced on this road trip, which has seen Drummond go over 50 fantasy points in both games. But he’s played well against Nurkic and the Blazers in the past, averaging 51.2 fantasy points in his last two games against them. I’m going to trust him to get his points and rebounds as this feels like a bad Blake Griffin games instead of a bad Drummond game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs DAL – $8,800): Needs 39.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.2 fantasy points against Indiana. But it’s Cousins who is my favorite player at the center position on Saturday. Once again, you have to take advantage of no Steph Curry and you have to take advantage of the Mavericks. Cousins has continued to play well even though his minutes aren’t totally there and this is great circumstances and matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
