High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Willie Cauley-Stein (vs PHO – $6,100): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.1 fantasy points against Dallas. WCS has up in a big way against the Mavericks because the Mavericks just have nothing in their frontcourt. And now he gets the Suns. He’s turned his game around in a. Big way as of late, even in limited minutes. The jump in salary scares me if he ends up playing less than 20 minutes but the matchup is still great and his ceiling is high. He’s averaging 37.9 fantasy points and 1.48 FPPM in three games against the Suns this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Dewayne Dedmon (vs PHI – $5,900): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.8 fantasy points against Utah. Aside from a slip up against the Rockets, Dedmon has been great in recent contests, going over 33 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He had 41.1 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 11. He’s playing too good right now to deny and has a proven ceiling in recent games and in this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Hassan Whiteside (at WAS – $5,400): Needs 24 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.8 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I don’t know what you’re going to get from Whiteside on most nights because his minutes are all over the place. But this is a matchup he’s dominated this season. He had 49.6 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 4 and is averaging 40.6 fantasy points in three games against them this season. That was before the Wizards traded for extra help on offense but they remain a poor team. Not reliable because he could easily play 10 minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
