High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (at BOS – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 18.75 fantasy points against Houston. Drawing the start didn’t help Gay against the Rockets. I actually like him off the bench simply because it’s less time next to Aldridge and DeRozan and more time as the top, or second at worst, option. The Celtics are on a back-to-back and seem pretty content with their seeding. The Spurs are still playing hard and Gay has been a solid option more often than not this season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Nemanja Bjelica (at LAL – $5,000): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – fantasy points against . It’s a back-to-back for the Kings but Bjelica gets the minutes on most nights and I’m a fan of plenty of Kings heading into this Lakers game. The Lakers are just bad and the Kings have a competitive and mental edge going into this matchup. With the salary, Bjelica should be at least at value given his usual minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Kenrich Williams (vs HOU – $4,200): Needs 19.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49 fantasy points against Phoenix. Williams was one of the few starters who actually produced for the Pelicans against the Magic. He’s getting the minutes in the starting lineup and his salary makes him a good bet to get value with his scoring and rebounding. He had 31 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 29 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
