High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Andre Drummond (at GS – $11,100): Needs 49.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.7 fantasy points against Portland. The salary can always hurt Drummond but we know he’s capable of big scoring and rebounding nights. I expect the Warriors to be much better on Sunday, but if they are lacking again, or if they decide to rest Cousins, Drummond will hurt them in a big way. He has the highest ceiling of all the centers but he also need to do the most to justify the salary. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs DET – $8,900): Needs 39.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.7 fantasy points against Dallas. Don’t worry about the Mavericks game. As I’ve been saying throughout these slides, the Warriors could decide to rest one of their All-Stars. And if they do that, it will boost the value of their other All-Stars. Cousins still isn’t playing big minutes, but he continues to have a featured role and you know Andre Drummond is a guy he wants to punk. Of course, Cousins wants to punk just about everyone because that’s who he is. He’s always good to be at value and the ceiling is higher. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Clint Capela (at NO – $8,100): Needs 36.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.2 fantasy points against San Antonio. Capela has settled into a nice spot and he’s going to get you value if nothing else at this point. If Harden’s minutes are limited, which actually hurts Capela as Harden is the guy who finds Capela more than Chris Paul. He hasn’t been great against the Pelicans this year, but those were the pre-Anthony Davis trade rumors Pelicans. This squad is a much different team. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
