High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick White (at BOS – $5,900): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.1 fantasy points against Houston. White looked more like himself against the Rockets and hopefully he’s back in form after struggling through mid-March. The Celtics are a good matchup as they appear to be broken right now and they are on a back-to-back. Meanwhile, the Spurs just continue to Spurs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Alex Caruso (vs SAC – $5,000): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.6 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Caruso continues to play big minutes for the Lakers and while he’s not the most talented guy on the court (that honor belongs to JaVale McGee), he gets numbers based on effort and opportunities. The Kings will present him with plenty of opportunities and if the Lakers now decide to limit LeBron’s minutes, Caruso will benefit. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Ish Smith (at GS – $4,900): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.6 fantasy points against Portland. Smith has been getting value if nothing else as of late. Reggie Jackson has the higher ceiling, but Smith is the more reliable player at this point. And given that I expect the Warriors to be locked in on the Pistons and their starting lineup, I don’t exactly trust Jackson to deliver in this game. Smith will continue to be a steady hand at an affordable price. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
