High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (vs SAC – $4,800): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.3 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Who knows what you’re getting with KCP right now, but it’s a weak value night across the board. At least with KCP, he’s going to get the minutes and opportunities. It’s just a matter of him making the most of them. He’s got a great matchup in front of him as the Kings pace should lead to good looks. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Wayne Ellington (at GS – $4,800): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 13.7 fantasy points against Portland. Ellington’s minutes were down against the Blazers, which led to a downturn in production. He was getting big minutes and producing in a good way prior to the Blazers game so I’m willing to chalk it up to an off night and hope the minutes bounce back for him. They’ll need his scoring to keep pace with the Warriors. And that’s a better Warriors team than what we saw against Dallas. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Eric Gordon (at NO – $4,700): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 13.4 fantasy points against San Antonio. Gordon has failed to crack 20 fantasy points in three straight and four of his last five. But if Harden is going to play less minutes, Gordon should play more. He typically plays well against the Pelicans, averaging 26.8 fantasy points in his last seven games against them. But he was down to 19.6 fantasy points against them on Jan. 29. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
