High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

LeBron James (vs SAC – $10,700): Needs 44.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 54.8 fantasy points against Brooklyn. I would suspect that LeBron’s minutes will be back down to around 30 in this game, but there is no firm confirmation, at least as of this writing, on that. The matchup is great and LeBron will always get his numbers because he’s LeBron. Even in limited minutes, he can easily go over 50 fantasy points. But with elimination secured, does LeBron care anymore? Maybe. But probably not a lot. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Kevin Durant (vs DET – $9,600): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.5 fantasy points against Dallas. Durant has been down when the Warriors have fielded a healthy roster. But I suspect someone will rest in this game and as Durant just missed a couple of games, I’m not sure it’ll be him. If the Warriors go in with their full roster, he’ll get numbers because he always does, but it’s tough to fully trust him right now. If Thompson rests, he’ll have a much easier time. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Rudy Gay (at BOS – $6,100): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.8 fantasy points against Houston. I actually don’t like Gay as much in the starting lineup because he shares the floor more with DeRozan and Aldridge, reducing him to the third option. He’s better coming off the bench and taking advantage of opposing bench players. The Celtics aren’t great right now, don’t seem to care, and are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
