High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (at POR – $6,200): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.2 fantasy points against LA Lakers. I’d like to see Allen’s salary drop a little bit more because he’s not always a reliable producer but the minutes are typically there for him. He had 27.7 fantasy points against the Blazers on Feb. 21. The ceiling is high but it feels like a game where he slightly underperforms. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Steven Adams (at MEM – $6,000): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.5 fantasy points against Toronto. Adams has settled at a nice salary given his usual minutes and opportunities. He had 44.4 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Mar. 3 but that was without Paul George. He typically raises his game against Valanciunas and again, thanks to the salary, he’s a reliable option given his usual minutes. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Enes Kanter (vs BKN – $4,700): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.4 fantasy points against Detroit. Kanter doesn’t play big minutes (or defense) but he does enough with the minutes he gets. He had 30.8 fantasy points in 20 minutes against the Nets on Feb. 21. If he gets 20 minutes in this game, he’ll easily be over value because the Nets have nothing in their frontcourt and Kanter can put up points and rebounds in a hurry. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
