8. Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio (WrestleMania 19)

The WrestleMania 19 opening match between Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy is the shortest one on the list, but the two future Hall of Famers made the most of their time. Mysterio was having his first WrestleMania match after a hot start to his rookie year in WWE. Hardy defended the Cruiserweight Championship in this match during the peak of his Mattitude-era gimmick.

Both men wanted to steal the show despite having limited time. They would not outshine some of the bigger matches on the card, but Mysterio and Hardy kicked off the show on a perfect note. The six-minute sprint gave us Rey’s best moves and allowed Hardy to retain with the help of his Mattitude follower Shannon Moore. If WWE gave them just a few more minutes, WrestleMania 19’s opening match may be higher on the list.
