2. Owen Hart vs Bret Hart (WrestleMania 10)

The quality of wrestling finally started to improve for WWE in the mid-90s during the New Generation era. Stars like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Owen Hart and 123 Kid impressed the crowd with incredible wrestling ability. WrestleMania 10 was the first one with multiple great matches on the show. The opening match between Bret and Owen Hart was the first true great opener ever to take place on a WrestleMania show.

There was an overcomplicated booking to the show with Bret and Lex Luger both having title shots against Yokozuna on the night. We were very lucky that WWE did not want to try triple threat matches at the time. It led to Bret having a different match earlier in the show against his brother Owen. This was the main storyline for Bret heading into WrestleMania after Owen turned on him at the Royal Rumble months earlier.

This incredible match featured both Hart brothers putting on a clinic and showing why they were at the top of the list of in-ring workers at the time. Owen pulled off the shocking upset that most fans did not see coming. Bret still managed to win the WWE Championship from Yokozuna later in the night, but the opener against Owen is the legendary match fans still talk about today.
