2. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins at one time employed Ndamukong Suh before letting him go elsewhere in free agency. Since then they have not been able to replicate what he brought to the table. Why not find it with his draft class mate and simliar style of player Gerald McCoy?

Miami brought in new head coach Brian Flores. Flores coming from New England understands the value of excellent defensive line play. It is also the type of system that will maximize a player’s strength rather than sticking a square peg in a round hole. That is what McCoy is missing in Tampa Bay. Right now Todd Bowles is so set on running his system that it takes away McCoy’s strength. Even though Flores will run a similar “base system” he is smart enough to get McCoy into positions where he can thrive.

In fact, on paper a trade that swaps Robert Quinn to Tampa Bay and McCoy to Miami would make a lot of sense. It would not help the Buccaneers out cap-wise much but both players would be in better situations. For Miami, McCoy would be an upgrade over every defensive lineman on their roster, as well as being the best pass rusher. On the field, the fit would be excellent and McCoy would be a dominating presence in that multiple front that Flores is going to employ.
