18. player. 60. . Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. Cody Ford

The Minnesota Vikings got a scare earlier in free agency, as it looked like Anthony Barr was heading to East Rutherford, New Jersey to play for the New York Jets. Fortunately for Minnesota, he decided to come back home instead, and will continue to anchor a defense that needs to be much better in 2019.

Also needing to be much better in 2019 is the offensive line, which was one of the worst in football last season. New quarterback Kirk Cousins was running for his life for most of the season, and that led to this team missing out on the playoffs after making it to the NFC title game the year before.

Entering the 2019 NFL Draft, the Vikings have a golden opportunity to get better up front on offense, and Cody Ford from Oklahoma would be a nice get at No. 18 overall. He is a guy who can play all along the offensive line, and the Vikings need players with that kind of versatility moving forward.

This is a team to keep an eye on next season, as they have the talent to make the playoffs, but play in a division that features playoff-caliber teams in the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. Minnesota needs to revamp this roster if they want to keep their heads above water, and Ford is a nice start in round one this April.
