Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 19. player. 35.

The Tennessee Titans barely missed out on the playoffs last season, as they lost a home game to divisional rival Indianapolis to clinch a Wild Card spot. Despite the loss, Tennessee should rebound in a big way this season, as they have solid players on both sides of the ball, and have made some solid moves during free agency.

In addition, the addition of Ryan Tannehill as competition to Marcus Mariota is a good thing, as he has yet to be challenged for his spot at the NFL level. Tannehill and Mariota are very different quarterbacks, and it will be up to head coach Mike Vrabel to decide whether or not Tannehill is a real threat to the team’s starter.

During the 2019 NFL Draft, Tennessee should focus on the defensive side of the ball, as they need some big bodies in the interior of their defensive line. One player who should be called in the first round this April is Dexter Lawrence, who missed the College Football Playoff due to a failed drug test, but is still one of the best defensive tackles in this draft class.

The addition of Cameron Wake is a solid one, as despite his age, he is still a beast off the edge. The Titans have the talent to make a serious run in the AFC South, which should be one of the more competitive divisions in the NFL next season, but they have to get better on the defensive side of the ball to do so.
