2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins go early
By Brad Weiss
The Seattle Seahawks were a surprise entry to the playoffs last season, after being pretty much written off to start the season. Quarterback Russell Wilson proved once again that he is one of the more talented signal-callers in the league, and head coach Pete Carroll did a masterful job working with the talent he had.
A few years back, Seattle had the best defense in the league, as the Legion of Boom led the franchise to back-to-back Super Bowls. While those players are long gone, the defense as a whole played like Family last season, and were a big reason this team snuck into the playoffs as a Wild Card team.
Heading into 2019, the Seahawks are in much better shape, but there is some work to be done on both sides of the ball. One area where they could stand to add talent during the 2019 NFL Draft is in the secondary, and cornerback Greedy Williams would be a nice addition to their defensive backfield at No. 21.
Williams is seen by many as the best cornerback in this draft class, so it would not surprise anybody if he is the first one off the board this April. He is one of only a handful that are considered first round talents, and with Seattle having a need at the position group, Greedy makes a lot of sense for them this late in round one.
