The Houston Texans were one of the best teams in the AFC for most of the 2018 NFL season, reeling off nine straight victories, and winning the AFC South title. However, their season ended on a terrible note, as they played only one playoff game, losing to division rival Indianapolis in the Wild Card round at home.

Heading into next season, there is a lot to like about this Texans team, as they revamped their secondary, which was a place of weakness. On the other side of the ball, they have their franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson, now they have to bring in some guys to actually protect him moving forward.

One of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class is Dalton Risner, who is fresh off an All-American season as the left tackle for the Kansas State Wildcats. In fact, Risner is a guy who can play all over the offensive line, and on this Texans roster, that could be their biggest area of weakness heading into next season.

Houston plays in the AFC South, which is a division that is going to be quite fun to watch next season. Both Indy and Houston made the playoffs last season, and the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars made it the year before, so it is anybody’s guess as to who will take the crown in 2019.
