Alabama. Quinnen Williams. 5. player. 48. . Defensive Tackle

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hold the No. 5 overall pick this April, and there are certainly a number of ways they could go with such an early pick. It has been an interesting offseason for the team, bringing in a new head coach in Bruce Arians, who has had his fair share of success at the NFL level, getting the Arizona Cardinals to the playoffs during his tenure there.

With this pick, Tampa Bay may want to bring in the best player available, and in this draft class, Quinnen Williams from Alabama may be the best player overall. A punishing defensive tackle for the Crimson Tide, Williams would be joining a defensive front in Tampa Bay that already has some talented pieces, but he is too good to pass up at No. 5.

The 2019 season will revolve around Jameis Winston, the team’s No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Since coming on board, Winston has shown flashes during his time as the team’s starting quarterback, but he has been way too inconsistent, something Arians will be tasked with stopping this season, and beyond.

Winston played better down the stretch for Tampa Bay, and the hope is that a quarterback guru like Arians can turn his career around as he enters his sixth season as the team’s starting quarterback. Tampa Bay has some talented pieces on both sides of the ball, but the NFC South is loaded, so it will be interesting to see if their moves can pay off in a big way in 2019.
