Players costing $6,250 or under

Derrick Favors (vs LAL – $5,800): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.5 fantasy points against Phoenix. Even if Favors doesn’t play many minutes, he should have no issue getting his points and rebounds against the Lakers. It’s the Lakers. And Favors has proven that he can put up big numbers even in limited minutes. He had 36.25 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 11. He’ll produce again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jae Crowder (vs LAL – $4,500): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.75 fantasy points against Phoenix. Crowder may not see many minutes in this game because his minutes are just down across the board. But the matchup is great and Crowder can do enough to get value even in limited minutes due to that matchup. He does a bit of everything when he’s on his game. And you can always bet against the Lakers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Zach Collins (at CHI – $4,000): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21 fantasy points against Brooklyn. With Nurkic out, Collins should be one of those guys who fill those minutes. It’s possible that this doesn’t happen, but it’s an assumption on my part. More could be confirmed closer to the game. If he gets the minutes, he’ll produce given the salary and the matchup. Guys will have to step up with Nurkic out. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
