2. The strength of the bullpen

While the Red Sox will enter this season with a lot of questions about their bullpen, the Yankees may have amassed the most talented group of relievers in baseball history. Even if you believe that’s slightly hyperbolic, it’s obvious this is one of the best bullpens in baseball.

Everyone knows about Aroldis Chapman’s electric stuff at the end of games, but the real strength of this group lies in the quality setup guys available to Boone. Dellin Betances will begin the season on the Injured List, but when he comes back he should resume his place as one of the most dominating setup guys in the game.

The Yankees also spent big to bring back Zack Britton this offseason. It’s very likely his stuff will be even better than it was last year since he’s further away from a significant Achilles injury. His powerful sinker is a perfect weapon to keep the ball inside Yankee Stadium on hot summer nights.

David Robertson’s departure did leave a hole for the Yankees to fill, but signing Adam Ottavino should fill it very nicely. The former Rockies’ star showcases one of the best sliders in the game. A quick google of his name on YouTube will show you just how silly he can make hitters look.

The fact that Chad Green and Jonathan Holder are going to be pitching in middle-innings for the team shows just how much luxury resides in the Yankees bullpen.
