4. Rashan Gary

Rashan Gary is more likely to be on the board than Sweat, but there’s no certainty he’ll make it all the way down to No. 9, either. If he is available, the Bills will have a difficult choice to make.

They are one of the teams that may look at Gary as a defensive tackle. There’s no question he has the speed to make plays off the edge, but he also has the size to hold up against the run inside. Gary is a player who can help Buffalo at defensive end and defensive tackle depending on the situation.

The critics of Gary’s game point to the fact that he only notched 10.5 sacks during his Michigan career as a major red flag. It’s a fair concern. Taking Gary this high is a big bet on his potential. He is, however, the sort of prospect that can make a general manager look smart for picking him if he finds a way to fulfill his potential.

The odds favor the Bills passing on Gary if their favorite offensive targets are still on the board, but if the wrong player or two is chosen before they come on the board Gary could easily end up being their choice. He’d be a nice boost for their talented defense.
