High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs DEN – $11,100): Needs 52.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Are the Rockets going to play Harden big minutes in this game? Of course they are. Because no matter what the Rockets say, they are always going to play Harden big minutes. And it’s a matchup against the Nets and maybe they think they can still catch the Nuggets? Harden cares too much to not have a big game after the way the Bucks played him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Lou Williams (at MIL – $7,500): Needs 35.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34 fantasy points against Minnesota. Lou can be a bit up-and-down but he remains the player with the highest ceiling on the Clippers and this feels like a game where he’s going to need to show off his ceiling because the Bucks are a tough matchup. He had 36.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 10. You can spend a little extra on DeRozan, who gets the Cavaliers, but I’m not sure he’ll be needed in that one. The Clippers will need Lou. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Buddy Hield (at NO – $7,100): Needs 33 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.75 fantasy points against Dallas. The Kings are all but cooked but Hield will continue to play well down the stretch until it’s officially over for them. And Hield typically plays well against the Pelicans because that’s the team that traded him for a season and a half of DeMarcus Cousins. Boy does that look bad for New Orleans now. Anyway, I like Hield’s game overall and he’s hot right now. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
