High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Evan Fournier (at DET – $5,300): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22 fantasy points against Miami. Fournier can always be a mixed bag but he’s playing good minutes right now and is a guy who can do a bit of everything. The Magic need him to deliver and he’s proven that he can step up in this situation. He had 30.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 16 and is averaging 33.5 fantasy points in three games against the Pistons this season. Trust him in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarre Carroll (at PHI – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.25 fantasy points against Portland. Carroll is starting for the Nets again and playing big minutes as a result. In case you haven’t been paying attention, I’m not a fan of the Sixers at all in this one and I love the way the Nets are playing overall. And with the minutes he’s getting right now, he should be an easy bet to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Pat Connaughton (vs LAC – $4,500): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.75 fantasy points against Houston. The Bucks are battling some injuries and one guy who has stepped up in a big way has been Connaughton. He’s getting plenty of minutes and opportunities and is at a great salary given those minutes and opportunities. He’s been a very reliable option in these recent weeks and until he slips, you can keep taking him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
