High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs BKN – $11,400): Needs 49.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33 fantasy points against Orlando. Embiid may have been down against the Magic but I’m not worried about him. Not in this matchup. The Nets are the perfect matchup for him with their lack of a frontcourt and Embiid is averaging 51.6 fantasy points in three games against them this season, including a 62.4 fantasy point effort against them in his last game. Embiid will bounce back strong in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Jokic (at HOU – $10,500): Needs 45.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41 fantasy points against Detroit. Jokic was down a bit against the Pistons but much like Embiid, I’m just not worried about him in this matchup. He had 61.1 fantasy points in 31 minutes against the Rockets on Feb. 1 and is averaging 1.63 FPPM in three games against them this season. This is a great matchup for him given the Rockets defense. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Vucevic (at DET – $10,100): Needs 44.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 54.7 fantasy points against Miami. It’s another Nikola with a high ceiling. He’s coming off a strong game against the Heat and has been over 45 fantasy points in his last five games. If nothing else, he’ll get you value in this one. But expect more given his usual production and the matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
